mainstream essentials-

what's in my [make-up] bag

1. Smashbox sheer focus tinted moisturizer, which I use with the Mac 130 duo fibre brush.  It's perfect for blending.  The moistuizer is oil-free with spf 15, giving your complexion protection and an awesome glow.

2. Smashbox bronzing powder with the ecotools bronzing brush.  I love this bronzer for the fact of bronzing and not adding even a hint of orange.  Looks fresh and natural.  The brush is organic (plus!) and the bristles are extremely soft (double plus!).

3. Best blush color- Mac blush in Raizin.  Use it alone on your cheeks or under a tinted moisturizer for the perfect hint of rose bronze.

4.  I use the Too Faced eyeshadow duo for the sole purpose of the teddy bear color.  Never was much of an eyeshadow person, for the most part I never wear it, but I love just a swipe of this brown on my lids.
5. Cover girl perfect blend eye pencil in basic black. It's ideal for smudging hence the perfect blender on the opposite end.

6. Maybelline brow brush and the Falsies Volum' Express mascara. By far my favorite two items in the bag.  I have an obsession with groomed brows and can not live without a brow brush. The mascara is totally fab...  Not only does it make your lashes look super full, it's the easiest mascara to ever wash off (that's if you get the regular, not waterproof).  You can't beat it or the price!

Random, I know.  It was a nearly 3-hour long travel one-way.  Tom and I went on a journey to pick up a car for one of his customers.  In between bathroom breaks and grabbing munchies at gas stations, we had some fun with the camera :)

Shorts, finally! Swapped these while in NYC at the h&m on Fifth Ave.  They came with a thin strap gold belt, but I preferred to show the little gold button instead.  One of the best polish colors I recently discovered, Urban Outfitters' hangover.  It's a pastel, but an orange unlike I've ever seen.  You'll need to paint at least two coats to get that perfect plush.  Haven't posted in a while so I'll have some more coming...Just my luck, my camera would go dead mid shoot and I would leave the charger downtown...

a sweet surprise.

Lee Angel chain link bracelet.

Stopped by my babcia's yesterday for some quality and much needed family time.  It's been forever since we all got together.  Amidst crazy political convos, good humor and grandmas traditional homemade spirits, bonding: aunts, uncles, cousins and all was a success!  Little did I know, upon my arrival I would receive the sweetest gift ever: these adorable slippers hand knitted by my awesome aunt, "Ciocia Mery".  Ecstatic is an understatement, I'm completely obsessed with these insanely comfy yet super chic pantofle.  Pop some rubber soles on the bottoms of these babies and you got the new generation of toms...
And the color combo- love, love, love!

Celebrated Mother's Day with the best, most beautiful mama ever! She's my sole inspiration. Without her love, support and ultimately her poise, elegance and incredible style, I would be no where close to where I am today.  I love you mom.  (picture soon to come!)

Just came back from a trip to NYC.  Got to meet some wonderful people at FOX news- from make-up artists and bookers to Shepard Smith and Sean Hannity.
Special thanks to Anna and Jodie from Vogue for their time and quite insightful advice.  And of course Tamara, who shared such an amazing experience with me.
Discovered Henri Bendel on Fifth Avenue and let me just say, one can do some serious damage in that store! Picked up these gorgeous bracelets and have my heart set on a few hundred more items...this store is seriously unreal.

Aside from my journey to the east coast, spent Saturday night roaming through aisles at jewel, and actually getting kicked out for flashing the camera...Making our way to the PGN driving range where I realized, sadly,  I am no golfer.
Beautiful day today, time to enjoy some genuine spring weather.
