Up at 8 a.m. and rushing for work, wanted to snap some quick shots of this amazing necklace, not realizing the iris was set all wrong.  Apologizing in advance for the over-exposed pics but in a way  there's more of a focus on the bordeaux- a color I can't get enough of!  Whether it's a scarf, skirt, slacks, snood, nail polish (the list can go on) it seems this color somehow makes its way into my life almost on a daily basis.  Don't be surprised if my next couple of posts incorporate the spectrum of red and all it has to offer.  

 ...Words can not describe the detail and beauty of this necklace.  A piece that sparkles and adds flair- OK maybe two words: simply stunning.

Vintage Alaia and Herve Leger dresses

A special thanks to one of my dearest friends, Michaela.   Granting me the opportunity to showcase her gorgeous vintage Alaia and Leger dresses has to be one of my most treasured moments.  The quality, texture, and detail of each individual dress is simply unfathomable.  Works of art such as these makes one truly realize the importance and beauty of design.  The simplicity of all seven pieces genuinely bestows the elegance and significance upon each garment.  

Couldn't help but think back to the movie Clueless when Cher, mugged at gunpoint, protests about lying down in the parking lot by exclaiming, "This is an Alaia!"  I now totally understand her cry- one would never dream about the possibility of having their Alaia even slightly abused.

American West clutch/wallet.  Ark & co. lace dress. Topshop booties.

Totally stoked to have gotten my hands on this clutch. Huge online shopping site, ShopNBC, sent me this wallet from the American West handbag collection. The pony hair detail is by far my fave! Its cow-like appearance provides a refreshing twist to the already trending animal print. Pair it with anything to add that perfect something.

Recently snatched these booties at Topshop's grand opening on Michigan Ave.  Had them on my feet for a mere ten minutes before plummeting my way down a flight of stairs [head first].  Luckily, my arms were fixed on the railings- preventing any real damage to occur.  Just point three seconds and some scratched up stairs provided my boots with a worn look that could have taken a few times of wearing to manifest.  Hilarious now, not so funny at the time.
