A men's-inspired ensemble attunes to more than just a tasteful look.  It's that feeling of masculinity to the degree in which we prefer, preferably taking on the world.

Maybe it's the pinstripe vest or that powerful laser cut detail bordering the edges.  Or maybe it's just being a woman and making it work.

There's nothing not to love about these leather track shorts- the comfort, the pockets and most notably, the color- love, love and love!

Realized now more than ever how much I'm craving COLOR! Needless to say I have none of it in my closet- on a mission to find neon brights and peachy pastels...

Just came home from a random weekend getaway with the girls.  To sum it up- beautiful weather,  shopping on Melrose, bottomless mimosas at the Hudson amongst great company and an improv show at the Groundlings theatre- honestly, could not ask for anything more.

Nonetheless, splurged on a fabulous blazer from Kitson's for my sister- a true cement color and totally resembling that of a Helmut Lang creation.  For myself a pair of studded pocahontas-like booties from Gregory's to throw on with anything.  Simple, still sassy.

Wearing black and white striped pleasure doing business skirt, nude haute hippie leather track shorts and topshop jean vest.

Fifty degrees in February? I'll take it!

Prancing around the forest right outside my home inspired the title for this post, as a family of three [deer] nibbled quietly amongst the trees.  The sudden "ah's!" and "aw's" frightened them away, thus eliminating the opportunity to capture a photo of proof.  No worries, for their return is almost constant as is their daily sweet meals of danish and apples.
Aside from such intriguing creatures, this skirt defines perfection in the most effortless way- clean silhouette paired with a rad color adds up to nothing more than simply, classic.
Adore the color-block concept of the booties-black suede against bordeaux leather with a hint of neutral print.  Even more so treasuring the chains of the clutch- both binding and protecting as the glistening tassels add a practically utopian touch.

And remember, don't forget to click the little heart on my photo for Refinery 29's Next Big Style Blogger Contest.
Big love and thanks in advance.
